Turner Bicycles founder David Turner has been at the forefront of MTB suspension since the technology's inception in the 1980's. As a professional racer,  David helped designers at Rock Shox, Mongoose and AMP Research race-test and fine-tune early advancements in suspension design. After retiring from full-time competition, David worked with legendary design guru Horst Leitner to create some of the most progressive and lightweight suspension bicycle frames and forks the sport had ever seen.

All of the Turner design works are done in Murrieta, California. Out of the same office Turner handle all of the marketing, sales, quality control and final assembly.  Every frame is handled with love until it has been delivered to its proud new owner. As for the actual fabrication, frames are built by Sapa; A facility in Portland Oregon who in their spare time tinker with spacecraft and jet airplanes.

With over 40 years of experience in aluminium, Sapa is a perfect fitment with Turner Bikes since they have the ability to turn fresh raw aluminium and recycled aluminium into a high precision bicycle frame. Sapa has such high standards due to their involvement with aircraft and auto manufacturing, that their Aluminium has a higher chemical composition standard than most. This aluminium billet is then made into tubing and frame pieces by cutting, then machining, and finally welding them into every Turner frame. From there Sapa will then heat-treat, check the alignment and then send Turner the built front and rear frame components.
