Blue Competition Cycles Blue Competition Cycles began life in 2004 when a group of world class athletes set out on a mission to produce affordable bicycle frames engineered and constructed to be second-to-none. Frames that had it all: lightweight materials for climbing, superior lateral stiffness and torsional rigidity for efficient power transfer, vertical compliance for comfort and race inspired geometry for perfect fit and precise handling. As a company Blue Competition Cycles have dedicated themselves to engineering and building world class framesets designed to give Elite athletes a competitive advantage and affordably priced to enable amateur athletes or serious enthusiasts to own the exact same frame as the pros. In just five years, Blue Competition Cycles have become a force to be reckoned with, in competition and in the bike market. Athletes at all levels have ridden Blue to the podium in road races, time trials, cyclocross, mountain bike, duathlon, triathlon and on the track. Now available in the UK, we have partnered with the UK distributors to bring Blue to London. The range covers all the bases - road race and sportive, triathlon, cyclo-cross and mountain bike. We have been very impressed with the range and believe it offers fantastic value, expect to see and hear a lot more about Blue Competition Cycles over the next few years. The Jonathan Page Cyclocross line: Norcross SL, EX and SP For 2011, all of Blue’s cyclocross bikes carry the Norcross name and are also branded as the Jonathan Page signature line. “He’s one of the few athletes I’ve worked with in any industry where, we sponsored him, and immediately people called and said, ‘because you sponsored this guy I went to this bike shop and I bought this bike,’” (Chance Regina, Blue’s product and marketing manager). Aside from calling further attention to the brand’s star cyclocrosser, a portion of the sale price of each model will go directly to the racer to fund his racing program. In the UK, star Mosquito rider Hugo Humphrey's is riding Norcross SL bikes through the 2010/11 season. Catch him at the Mosquito sponsored London Cyclocross League events and at National Trophy Events over the winter. |
